Private Domain was formed in San Diego in 1985 by vocalist Paul Shaffer & guitarist Jack Butler out of the ashes of the notorious early 80s band Bratz.

They have been a consistent Southern California live attraction, performing at events of all sizes, public & private, as well as appearing regularly at many night clubs including Dick's Last Resort, where they have maintained a "house band" identity every Thursday (plus many weekend nights) since 1992.

Private Domain is a well rounded, versatile entertainment package, able to entertain guests in any situation. With Paul Shaffer (voted San Diego's Entertainer of the Year) as frontman, and an impressive song list that includes the very best danceable Classic Rock songs as well as Classic Motown/Soul, Blues, & Reggae, this versatility makes them ideal for everything from weddings and corporate events to clubs and concerts.
